The latest version of OS X made a brief cameo in Apple's store yesterday, appearing with a 24 hour ship time, and then disappearing shortly thereafter. Snow Leopard appeared as part of a "Mac Box Set" which includes the OS, iLife '09, and iWork '09.
The bundle is similar to one that appeared in the Apple store earlier in the year with featured Leopard for $169. The appearance seems to signal that the OS is coming soon--perhaps even sooner than expected. According to Mac Rumors, a number of folks are claiming that the operating system will actually hit store shelves a week from tomorrow.
Snow Leopard is already available for pre-order from Amazon. |
